App Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Vonde Technology ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores and deletes personal data when you use the Vonde AI QR Manager mobile application ("App"), available on Google Play under the package name com.vonde.qrmanager.

This policy applies to the App. The use of our website is covered by our separate website Privacy and Cookie Policy.

Data the App accesses and collects

Camera

The App uses your device camera only while you are scanning a QR code or barcode. The camera image is processed on your device to recognise the code; we do not record, store or upload camera images.

Images you select

If you choose to scan a code from an image, the App reads only the image you select, in order to recognise the code in it. The App does not browse or upload your photo library.

Scanned and created codes

The content of the codes you scan or create (for example URLs, text, contact details or Wi-Fi details) and your scan history are stored on your device so that you can search, edit, re-use and export them. This data stays on your device unless you choose to share or export it, or use a feature that requires our servers (see "Short links and analytics" below).

NFC

When you ask the App to read or write an NFC tag, it accesses the NFC hardware of your device for that operation only. The content written to a tag is the content you choose.

Short links and analytics

If you create a trackable code or short link, its destination is stored on our servers so that the link can redirect and you can change it later. When someone opens such a link, we record interaction data to provide you with statistics, such as:

• the time of the scan,
• device type, operating system and browser,
• approximate location (country or city) derived from the IP address,
• the referring source, where available.

AI-assisted features

If you use an AI-assisted feature of the App, the text or image you submit to that feature is sent to our servers and to our AI service provider solely to produce the result you requested. We do not use this content to build advertising profiles.

Account data

If you sign in to a Vonde account in the App, we process your name, email address and account identifier to provide the account, sync your codes and keep your account secure.

Technical and diagnostic data

To keep the App stable, we may receive technical information such as app version, device model, operating system version and crash reports. This data is not used to identify you personally.

How we use data

We use the data described above only to:

• provide the App's scanning, creation, editing, NFC, export and sharing functions,
• operate short links and show you their statistics,
• provide AI-assisted features you request,
• maintain your account and provide support,
• keep the App secure, fix errors and improve performance.

The legal bases are the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interest in keeping the App secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and, where required, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Sharing of data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:

• with service providers that host our servers or provide AI processing, analytics or crash reporting on our behalf, bound by data processing agreements,
• when you choose to share or export a code yourself, with the recipient you choose,
• when required by law or by a binding request of a public authority.

Data retention and deletion

Data stored on your device (scan history, saved codes) remains there until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.

Short links, their statistics and account data are kept for as long as your account or the link is active. When you delete a link or your account, the related data is deleted within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

You can request the deletion of your account and all related data at any time by emailing hello@vondetech.com with the subject "Vonde AI QR Manager data deletion", from the email address linked to your account.

Data security

Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We apply technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@vondetech.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be published on this page together with an updated date.
